Hi, please could anyone advise as to how to make porridge using porridge oats, skimmed milk and water? Quantities, method and smartpoints please? Tried making overnight oats but find the natural yoghurt too sharp and would like the oats warm...thanks in advance

I put 50g oats in a bowl. Cover with water so it's approx 1cm above the porridge. (Also add 12 almonds) Microwave for 3m 30s. Add berries. Then splash in a it of milk to cool it down.

It's not a diet recipe. Just how you make porridge with water and a bit of milk.

Microwave porridge is usually one quantity of oats and two quantities of liquid (milk or water or both), so half a cup of oats and one cup of liquid and a pinch of salt. Microwave it in a large jug or bowl (it has a tendency to bubble up and overflow) for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, until it changes texture and becomes creamy. I always add a spoonful of ground almonds for extra protein.
