Cambridge Diet

I started a post in chat but didn’t get many replies so thought I’d try here!

I’m on my second day of TDR. I feel hungry but it’s more the urge to scoff crisps and things rather than a real hunger. I had a shake, bar and porridge yesterday and it was ok. Edible at least.

My stats are:
Age 29
Weight 15stone 8 Blush
Height 5foot 2
Aim 9-10 stone

Anyone else doing or done the diet? I know it’s extreme and if I go back to my old
Eating habits after it’ll pile back on but I am a bridesmaid in september, the dress has already been brought in a size 14 (I’m currently an 18) and i am planning to do 5:2 once I get to my target.

I’m on day 3 of Exante, so similar to Cambridge. I’m finding it ok although I am a runner and just went out to do 5k and really struggled.

I want to lose at least 2 stone and have lost 3lbs already (I know it’s only water at this stage). Really enjoying the food, and also enjoying the not having to eat, if that makes sense. I was so bored of food and ended up shovelling in stuff that I knew was bad for me, just because I HAD to eat something.

This is my first stab at a VLCD although I’ve tried pretty much everything else! Good luck 🙂

How are you finding it? I am REALLY struggling, it’s not even so much the hunger but it’s the cravings for junk. Can’t grt passed them at all. I weighed myself yesterday and I’d lost 2lbs and I’ve been looking at success stories to spur me on. I’m away for a wedding next weekend so going to come off it then which I know is cheating but my meal is already paid for and it’s a whole weekend affair so going to enjoy myself and get back on it on the Monday. So hard though! Good luck Smile

Weighed myself and I’ve lost another 2lbs. This has spurred me on!

I'm on Exante too, which is similar (but cheaper!)

Some days I do more exercise and do feel a bit faint if I stick to the 600 calories so I do an 800 cal day. I also allow myself a little bit of milk in my morning coffee as I can't go without it. I also go out once a week for a meal or night out (lots of drinking cocktails) - I'm in my 20s and don't want to stop living just to lose weight.

Despite this I lose weight at a steady rate. Lost a stone in January and 10lbs in February without really thinking about it... Then my health went to shit and I've put 10lbs back on.

Restarted last week and 6lbs down already.

It's really easy and nice to not have to think about food. It's really broken my sugar addiction - my problem has never really been overeating but being completely addicted to sugar and binging on an evening. Most days I would have coffee in the morning, soup and bread for lunch, chicken salad for tea... Then between 8 and 10pm eat 2000 calories of chocolate.

Now I have my morning coffee, a shake at 2pm, the sweet and sour noodles with some spinach leaves at around 7pm, then one of the double chocolate bars at 8pm. Don't feel hungry or deprived and don't crave sugar Smile would highly recommend.

Sounds like you have it sussed Panda and good to hear you can still have a life. I’m out for lunch today but will have a chicken salad and water and am also out on Sat night and am planning similar, although I may have a gin Grin

Marvin, I’ve honestly found it fine. I’ve had a few cravings but I am determined not to crack and just tell myself I can have three packs a day and that’s it. I’m on day 4 now and have lost 4lb so that’s helping too!
