Hi,

I’m looking for a weight loss buddy who is in a similar situation to myself and interested in daily chit chat and weight loss motivation. Anyone who sounds like they are in the same boat and willing to message every day (WhatsApp?) and be a positive force for change?

About me:

Mum of 2: DS (nearly 3) and DD (4 months). BFing.
Current weight 160lbs. Looking to get down to 140lbs before I go back to work and 120lbs eventually. 5ft2.
Currently on maternity leave. Normally I work FT stressful job.
Like running and cycling.
Downfall is sugar and chocolate. I just can’t resist if it’s in the house!
Used to be v overweight (190lbs+) in my early 20s but lost most of it before having kids. Want to get back to being slim so I fit in my clothes and feel healthy again!

Hope my twin is out there! Cake

Me!
I’m the same height and about half a stone heavier. It’s so depressing.
Like you, I just can’t resist the sweet stuff. I’m eating my body weight in chocolate after Easter which really isn’t helping.
My children are older than yours so I have a bit more freedom so I’ve recently joined a gym. I have been going on the cross trainers and bikes but I’m definitely not a runner. Well, maybe I could be once I feel a bit lighter on my toes!
My form at school (I’m a teacher) are having their leavers’ ball at the end of June so I would like to be able to wear something nice to that. I also have a big birthday next year. I don’t want to be fat and forty!
I keep switching between different diet approaches but I can’t stick to anything.
My DH is losing weight very effectively and has amazing willpower. He’s putting me to shame!!
What’s your plan?
Defo up for motivating each other.

I would love a weight loss buddy. I'm 42 I have 2 children. I have lost just under 4 and a half stone within the last year as of late though something has happened to me and I've lost interest in weight loss and just can't stop eating. I'm eating chocolate like there is no tomorrow. I ate my children's Easter eggs and replaced them a hundred times and last night I was pinching my sons celebrations he got for his birthday and I ate more of his lovely birthday cake than him what on earth has happened to me. I'm so miserable with myself I was doing so well but I'm on the wrong path and need to get on the right path again. I'd love a buddy who understands.
