This keeps being advertised to me on Facebook (fb knows I'm a fat git).

Anyone used it or similar and have any thoughts?

I tried it last year after trying calorie counting and eating too much junk on that plan!

The first 5 days are pretty strict and unfortunately after I'd already registered I was sent on a work trip for 3 weeks right at the start of the OurPath programme.

You need to be able to focus on not eating out or getting takeaways especially the first 5 days. The focus is on reducing simple carbs and eating much less processed food. Starchy carbs like bread, potatoes, rice and pasta are restricted to small amounts each day. Lots of veg encouraged. Good fats are allowed.

You're allocated into a group and will have a mentor who is either a nutritionist or a registered dietician. Mine was an RD and was very good for the short time I was on the programme. My chat group was very quiet.
I ended up leaving within the 14 days trial period because it just wasn't the right time for me to commit to it.

Would definitely try it again. In fact I'm tempted to sign up again now that this thread has reminded me about it.
If you have any questions I'll try to answer them.

It is good and a healthy diet. The recipes are tasty. The support is ok depending on who is in your group with you and how much you engage with it. You can chat to your mentor 1:1 or in your group of 10 + your mentor.

It is quite hard work with batch cooking required. You also are meant to exercise and be mindful which is all good stuff.

The diet is based on limited measured whole grain carbs, lots of veg some protein and fat and not processed food.

The worst thing about it is after the 12 weeks the support is not as good. It does become much cheaper and you can unsubscribe at that point but I found that very demotivating. I think they are working on improving that part all the time as a lots of us were dropping off and they kept saying they were making changes to the app.

I’m at the end of week 4 and I’ve lost 8lbs which I’m pleased with. I’m in a group of ten women about the same age as me and we are motivated and keen. The support is great and I feel it’s really helping me.

If you’d like to sign up to the Our Path programme and get a £20 discount, you can do so via this referral link: www.ourpath.co.uk/invite/kathew61

I found it great on the active 12 week programme. It’s very healthy and there’s lots of support. The theory is that at the end of the 12 weeks you are re-educated about food and ready to basically go it alone. There is some group support but nothing as intensive as at first. That’s where it fell down for me. I lost nearly 2 stone on in the first 3 months but totally floundered afterwards and have put most of it back on
