Cut calories, upped exercise & still no weight loss 😟

I started this weight loss mission 4 weeks and have carefully counted calories (through MFP), doing 16:8 fasting and started an exercise regime 3 times a week. I aim to consume 1200 calories a day (allowing more on exercise days) but realistically I am consuming more like 1500. I’m 185cm and started off at 78.3kg and after 4 weeks I’ve only lost 0.8kg... what am I doing wrong?! Even my boyfriend thinks I’m hardly eating at the moment!

Checked my TDEE and it’s 1750... that seems a lot!

That’s to maintain weight so to lose weight you need to drop by 20% so less than your 1500 you think you are averaging but if you aren’t weighing and are relying on the calories already entered in MFP by other people then you will probably be eating too many calories to lose.

Thanks for all the advice... thinking I must be under estimating calories eaten and over estimating calories burnt! Will just need to get stricter with myself!

Just thought I would check back in to give some hope to others. It seems I was being impatient! I’ve now lost just over 4kg and have actually stopped logging food and instead trusting my instincts to make healthy choices (with only a few slip ups a long the way!)... only another 9kg to go 😀
