What's your plan?

Prisonbreak · 06/04/2019 19:23

I started 7 months ago and have lost 4 stone. Came back from Orlando yesterday and gained 5lbs back (worth it haha) so I’m back on my diet as of today

sorell · 06/04/2019 19:30

Prisonbreak wow, 4 stone loss that's amazing. Can I ask how you did it?

I massively over eat and will be starting by addressing my portion sizes. I have about 3 stones to lose. I don't own any scales but I have some being delivered tomorrow.

I'm in!
Just weighed myself and at 5ft 2 & now 12 stone, I'm obese. I've downloaded the 12 week nhs weight loss app, the meal mixer app and I'm going to restart C25K (I ran a half marathon in October but barely ran since due to injury!).

I'm totally totally motivated this time as I would like to start ttc #2 soon but do not want to be this overweight when we start and we've recently booked a holiday in May.

Ideally I'd like to lose 3st but my interim target for the 12 weeks is going to be 11st so 14lb.

sorell · 06/04/2019 19:48

RocketPockets I will check out the nhs app thanks.

Can I join?

I’m 3 months in and have lost 1st 6lb so far, would love some company and motivation!

sorell · 06/04/2019 20:52

Hello Georgie well done on your weight loss so far, you are doing so well.

I will post my weight tomorrow as soon as my scales arrive.

Thanks! I’m quite (very) large though so it needs to shift quickly.

Good luck with your weigh tomorrow. Flowers

I followed a strict keto diet for the first 3 stone then switched to a simple calorie deficit. Mixed with 2 hours exercise each day. I was to lose the 5lbs I gained while on holiday plus another stone

sorell · 07/04/2019 07:31

Prisonbreak thanks for your reply. I don't really know anything about the Keto diet, but I'm interested. Can you give an example of a typical days food please.

I watched a programme, can't remember what it was called, where five people are given five different diets to follow for I think 28 days. The lady doing the keto diet lost a huge amount of weight compared to the other diets being tested.

Georgie, well done on your weight loss so far. Are you following any particular diet? How much do you need to lose?

I’m following slimming world. I probably have 5 stone in total to lose. It won’t quite bring me in to my healthy range but it will be the lightest I’ve been since before having children. I had my eldest at 21 so that’s pretty much my whole adulthood. Blush

RocketPockets · 07/04/2019 12:50

I'm going to be doing a calorie deficit as my main way of losing weight but going to do half the week low carb as well. Going to up the days I go to the gym & also going to run every other day (outside or at the gym!).

RocketPockets · 07/04/2019 12:50

Strangely looking forward to starting tomorrow & hopefully my clothes fitting me better, feeling less sluggish & being a healthier weight!

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 07/04/2019 16:25

How did you get on with your weigh in OP?

lostlalaloopsy · 07/04/2019 18:07

Hi there I would love to join!! I'm starting tomorrow. The weight has just crept up and up and now I will probably have to move into a size 16/18. I have huge boobs anyway which make me look very matronly. Im about 14 1/2 stone and would like to get to 12. I'm so sick of feeling so down about it!

RocketPockets · 08/04/2019 08:37

Day one and I'm feeling really demotivated about going for a run.
I normally go early morning so there aren't many people so I may go to the gym instead and then do some weights at home. I have a free morning until 1245 so enough time to have a healthy breakfast, gym & then a healthy lunch.
I weighed myself this morning and I think AF has had a greater effect on my weight than normal as I'm now 11st 10lb so that's a 4lb loss in 2/3 days which I'm not sure is quite right! Grin

Luaa · 08/04/2019 08:53

Me!

I lost nearly 4 stone on 2015, took a break for Christmas and haven't got back on it since 😳

I've put most of that back on now and tend to go up and down in the same half a pound.

This morning I had the realisation I just can not delay it any more and today is the day I get on with it.

I need to know that someone will know if I've lost, gained or stayed the same though. I might tell dh every week so I know I cant just ignore it if I'm not doing well.

RocketPockets · 08/04/2019 17:40

Not too bad first day so far, I ran, cycled & rowed at the gym, I had healthy leftovers for lunch & a fish finger sandwich for dinner (ok that bits not brilliant but I've been saving myself for it all day!). Tomorrow I'm on a late at work which is always difficult as the canteen serves the NICEST chips ever!
