if you had 6 stones to lose - how would you approach it?

Am fucking massive. Massiver than I realised.

I put on more weight with antidepressants and, apparently, Vit D deficiency. Was tired, so moved less, was sad so ate more.

Am less sad, so am off the citalopram. Am on 800 Vic D a day for 6 months, though I'm going to ask if there's a faster way of sorting it, am sooooo tired that I am knackered by the time I get to the pool to swim!

Bit worried about having a stroke (got HBP, of course), and quite revolted with myself for being such a fat arse.

Am trying to fast - not eating after 8pm or before 12, every day. Is that ok, do you think? Or should it be a strict 5:2?

No alcohol except when socialising at weekend (that's rare). No sweets/chocolate. Avoiding, but, not excluding carbs. Plenty veg. Normal dinner with the kids.

Aim is to drop a couple of stones, hopefully will feel less tired and then be able to exercise.

Am due to start a Fat Club with the NHS soon enough - but, it'll praobly be another 3 months. It explores why your relationship with food is totally fucked.

What am I missing with this, slow and sensible approach?
