Choosing the way to go

I have been depressed for the last few months and therefore haven't had the motivation to move or eat right.
I have recently been feeling better and have realised that I have gained weight.
I'm not sure how to go about losing it.
I have a one year old little girl so I don't have the time to go to the gym or classes.
Any advice?

Weight loss is about 80% diet and 20% exercise, so it’s possible to lose weight through diet alone.

If you suffer from depression though, some exercise may help you feel better. It doesn’t need to be anything special, or intense. Just going for a walk every/ most days can really help with mental wellbeing.

Apart from that, it just comes down to how many calories you eat vs how many you burn. I’ve been following a 12 week NHS plan and have lost one and a half stone in that time. After the first week or so, it was pretty easy to follow.

I stuck with something that would work long term. And help me figure out how to eat normally. It was never going to be good long term to cut out all the bad food and only eat fruit etc. That wouldn’t teach me anything and would change how I ate long term.

I calorie count. So if I want to have something ‘bad’ to eat I have to count it in my calories. It teaches you how many calories are actually in things and how to add them into my food daily without gaining weight.

Has worked for me. And I’m eight pounds away from being ten stone
