Yes - tried both - much prefer Slim and Save.
I've lost 4 st on slim and save and still going strong...want to lose another stone+.
I would recommend phasing yourself on rather than going straight to 100% straight away.
Need to go to work now but happy to share more later (what I've found works for me etc). I would definitely recommend it BUT I would also have a very clear plan about how you are going to maintain your weight afterwards. I changed my diet before I started but for weight loss I love it as a diet.

Back from work now. My last sentence didn't make much sense!
I ate a better diet (drastically cutting down on meat, dairy, junk)before I started the VLCD - I still drank too much white wine and was sedentary though (partly due to a back/foot issue) so although I had stopped gaining I wasn't losing much. I think because the diet change also had ethical reasoning in addition to the health reasons has helped me keep with it - I am no interest at all in going back to the way I used to eat. White wine may be more of an issue, so I'll need to watch that! I also went on plant based cookery classes and have an interest in it so...here's hoping anyway.
