Wedding weight loss!!!

jamiecooks · 17/03/2019 19:29

We get married in 13 weeks. My dress fitting is in 11 weeks. I need to lose at least a stone, if not a stone and a half. Started weight watchers 4 weeks ago. Managed to stick to it, except when we are away and we’ve been away 2 of the weekends of the 4. Have lost 7lbs. Working out with a trainer twice a week (mix of weights/squats etc) but need to do more exercise (not swapping points for exercise). We are going away for 2 weeks of the 11 left and I won’t be able to stick to it then.

Give me your top tips!!!

Maybe check out some exercise vloggers on Youtube. I've recently discovered Kayla Itsines. Apparently HIIT is recommended for weight loss / fat burning.

Thanks I will do that! It’s also harder as I have a 6 month old so have weight on from him!

I get married in a years time and needed to lose a good 5 stone really. I’m doing slimming world and just can’t get my head in gear 100% of the time. I need it and want it but it’s so hard to resist the cake!
I have a 4.5yr old and a 14m old so have a proper mummy tummy which I appreciate I will likely never really lose.

I’ve I go wedding dress shopping in about 3 weeks and desperate to get a bit more offload 13.5lb so far (start

Mummyme87 · 18/03/2019 06:35

Ignore that last paragraph, my phone has gone mad.

I’ve lost 13.5lb so far (started in jan) and going wedding dress shopping in 3 weeks, would like 1st 7lb by then but it’s so hard!!

Hi OP, I’m so with you on this. I get married in just over 11 weeks and have a stone to lose and a lot of toning up to do.

My issue is that I have a 14month baby and with our work patterns I can only get to an exercise class once a week.

I’ve kinda resigned myself to the fact I don’t have enough time to get the perfect body so I’m focusing on the area which will really matter on the day, which for me is my arms.

With regards to eating whilst you’re away. Is it possible for you to enjoy yourself but not go all out. For instance if you were to go out for a full English, have bacon but cut off the fat. Have scrambled or poached eggs instead of fried. Brown bread no butter?

Hello! I’m getting married in 14 weeks, still have baby weight from my 18 month old ( or is that just weight now?!😂)

I want to loose a stone and a bit but I’m so so bad at dieting & exercising.

Today I’m having chicken wraps for lunch and chicken wraps for dinner with a bag of wotsits.

I’m trying to drink more water too, but seem to forget!

Chocolateandcarbs · 18/03/2019 07:47

Cambridge plan? Not very much fun, but you’d lose the stone in a month or less.

MeteorGarden92 · 18/03/2019 08:01

I get married in 12 weeks and need to lose about 5lbs.

CBA though as really don’t dislike my body atm, just stupidly bought my dress (sample piece) during last summer in a petite size 10 then put on 5lbs over Christmas which I’m yet to lose!!

Having once lost 5 stone (as a teen) I would strongly recommend changing your lifestyle beyond food! Get busy, join clubs, pick up hobbies!

Diets suck when you’re sat around thinking about how much you want to eat chocolate 😂

jamiecooks · 18/03/2019 18:01

Thanks - only just saw all these replies! Why is it so easy to put on but so bloody hard to get off?!!!

Good idea re the cutting fat off bacon etc. Think am gonna try to just stick to 3 meals a day and pick healthy (as far as I can) with no snacking and try to do loads of walking whilst away.

I too bought a sample dress as had left it too late and bought it knowing I’d need to lose a bit!!

Just back on track today after a 4 day binge. But thankfully had only put on 1lb! Hard as starving as think body had got used to loads of food again!

Tonight’s tea is WW Turkey lasagne (7 points) plus some halo top (as that’s only 3). Have 11 left for tea but will only use 10.

Gah!!!!!

I got an exercise bike last night and did 20 mins on it straight away which burned 200 calories which I’m hoping is a positive start. I’ve got a newish job which is on my feet all day as opposed to my old office job where I sat and ate biscuits all day!

I want to loose a stone before my dress fitting which is May 13th.. which I’m hoping is realistic??

jamiecooks · 22/03/2019 16:07

I’m hoping that’s realistic as I need the lose a stone, pref more, by 31 May! Worked out with trainer today but had to cut it short by 10 mins as have awful period pains!!!

I lost 1lb this week. 1stone 1/2lb off 🥳

Ohyesiam · 22/03/2019 16:42

Do the blood sugar diet .Hardcore but so worth it.
Where do you need to lose it from? Itsreallygoodfor belly fat.

MorrisZapp · 22/03/2019 16:47

My top tip would be do body pump or hand weights at home for your arms and shoulders. You get visible results with your upper body, while your bum etc would need forty gazillion squats to show the slightest change. I see fresh upper body tone after two body pump sessions.

SingingGoldfinch · 22/03/2019 16:58

5:2 diet is a winner - I lost 2 stone on this last year and I found it pretty easy once I got used to it. It's great for training your brain not to think it needs to eat every half an hour too. Good luck!!
