6 weeks to lose half a stone and tone up. Anybody interested in some moral support?

I have a weekend work event in 6 weeks. Atm I weigh 10st 7lbs and my waist is 33". All my nice work dresses look lumpy and my good jeans and trousers are digging into my waist in a very unattractive manner. I'm only 5'2" and the weight just seems to be creeping up.

So I thought that rather than spend money I don't have on new clothes I better get on top of the bulge. My plan for the next 6 weeks is;

  1. No snacking on crackers, biscuits or crisps at all. This is my main downfall for sure.
  2. Drink some water and cut down on the tea and coffee.
  3. No eating after dinner.
  4. Do some toning exercises, eg. plank and crunches, every evening.
  5. Start wearing my step counter and aim for 10000 most days.

It's not a very hardcore plan but I think if I stick to it I should lose about a pound a week and some inches. Is anybody interested in doing something similar?

waistaway there's a few of us doing exactly this sort of thing over on a thread in weight loss chat called "a stone" (I know it's a stone and not half a stone but some of us are half way there so for some of us it's half a stone IYSWIM!) They're a friendly, welcoming bunch and we all have ups and downs but are mostly moving in the right direction I think .
