So, I weigh 105kg at a weight of 165 cm. Not great, although I am as active as I can be. Biggest problem is (was) snacks and sugary drinks.
I am currently taking part in a weight loss programme through my employer. As part of this, I have made small changes - watching portion sizes, cutting out snacks and coke, and upping exercise. I definitely feel better and some trousers are fitting more loosely. However, when I had my five week weigh in I had lost the grand total of 1kg.
Whilst I was disappointed at that, I am thinking that, on the other hand, the sort of regime I am currently on is something I can potentially maintain long term, whereas with any more radical change I would set myself up for failure.
So, I was just wondering, has anybody ever lost weight very slowly? I am kind of thinking that I have gained this weight over a very long period of time, so I don't mind so much loosing it over a long period of time, too. I am hoping to get back down to 85 kg. At my best adult weight, I was 65.
However, I was only able to maintain this with huge amounts of exercise which I simply don't have time for these days (I was a single student that time, now I am a mum of two and working full time). I think 85 is more realistic long-term at this stage of my life!
