New thread

It's nice to have this bit of space to be able to do this sort of thing when we need to. Plus it helps me come to terms with doing the same things for myself!

I think katybumpe may think I was telling her off a bit when I told her not to call herself a heifer ... sorry, Katy

I just think that being so negative about yourself is self-perpetuating, and we need to boost ourselves and each other, rather than calling ourselves names - leave our negative comments at the door before we come in. We all acknowledge that we have to do something, we're all trying to do something about it, and that has to be a positive thing ...

You lot make laugh!I've been to school to pick up lo's. We left the car at my mums last night, she had a party and dh was drunk{i can't drive} so we had to walk and its 3/4 of an hour away on foot .You haven't scared me off. honest

WigWamBam · 09/07/2007 16:38

Walking's good ... think of all those calories you're using up!

Although walking everywhere is a real pain at the moment; the weather must have an alarm clock set for 8.30 in the morning and 3.00 in the afternoon ... am sick to death of getting drenched.

Me too. I thought i'd get to spend my maternity leave sat in the garden, baby cooing happily in the shade,a big bowl of summer fruits ready for me to munch ,but noooo the weather means all i want is chips and gravy mmmmmmm.AND i had to buy winter clothesGood job really because i havent worn my 'small'summer wardrobe since august 05 . I've got clothes in various sizes depending on how i feel when i wake up but i got rid of all my maternity things ,i am not wearing them ever again

Hi all - welcome katybump. Not doing terribly well - have just come from a table top sale at DD's school where they had refreshments. And someone had brought a bag of chewy fruity sweets in to work, and I kept eating those today. DD has come back from the sale with a recorder (pink) (aargh), a fluffy purple alarm clock with feet and silver deely boppers (mmm, tasteful) and a hobby horse, fgs. Why? More tat. Though it is a very nice hobby horse, as hobby horses go. But we don't need one. We already have 2 in the garage.

katybump · 10/07/2007 17:19

Not done too bad today.Spent most of it in hospital with dd but managed to resist the vending machines which i'm really pleased about

JackieNo · 10/07/2007 17:22

Hope your DD's OK, katybump. Well done for resisting the vending machines.

JackieNo · 10/07/2007 17:28

Kewcumber, if you're around, you might be able to give advice on this thread.

katybump · 10/07/2007 18:16

She's ok JackieNo,her birthmark was bleeding so we had to get it checked out.Spent an age in casualty but will hopefully now get seen by a plastic surgeon. All that stress and i didn't have any chocolate

JackieNo · 10/07/2007 19:08

Glad she's OK, katybump. Still - a very stressful situation, so well done you for resisting.

katybump · 10/07/2007 19:45

Thanks

JackieNo · 10/07/2007 20:27

Kewcumber - sorry about that adoption thread - it moved on rather a lot from when I saw the OP and mentioned your name.

TigerFeet · 11/07/2007 10:52

Doing better today

Still haven't got the hang of talking to myself in the mirror - funny really as I generally talk to myself a lot

Katybump, sounds quite scary, glad she's OK. Not sure I would have resisted!

katybump · 11/07/2007 17:27

Well today i've eaten a yoghurt,2 custard creams and a packet of shapers crisps

Not exactly a healthy balaced diet but i have been busy.Going to make sure i have a healthy meal for tea and then a nice long soak in the bath.I'm having some me time tonight.

littlemisssensible · 12/07/2007 14:00

Put 1lb on

Getting close to going back over the 13 stone mark and its not fair. I'm not gonna play, I don't want to and I refuse to do it [stamping feet in a tantrum emoticon]

I know....only myself to blame, turns round and proffers bum for a kicking....

Ok. I'm on holiday next week so I'm gonna just go and enjoy myself then come back refreshed and ready to really get a grip with my greedy impulses!

I hope everyone else is doing better than me!

WigWamBam · 12/07/2007 20:12

Gentle nudge to remind you that it's weigh-in day ...

Not so gentle nudge to LMS' proffered arse

OP posts:
JackieNo · 12/07/2007 21:34

Oh yes - I weighed earlier, and have stayed the same. I think having the ILs around at the weekend and some rather large/indulgent meals with them, plus undisciplined snacking is to blame. Must crack down on the snacks.

MrsJohnClaireCusack · 12/07/2007 21:43

pah I should have waited til this morning to send in my weightloss, could have added another pound courtesy of the vile gastric flu DD and I have had this week
nevermind, probably put it back on again v.soon anyway

JackieNo · 12/07/2007 21:50

yeuch - poor you. I do try to look on these sort of things as an enforced detox, but you could really do without that, couldn't you.

TigerFeet · 13/07/2007 09:01

stayed the same

a combination of binging then obsessive fruit and salad eating to make up for it... not good is it????

Oh well, am happy with the end result in that I haven't put anything on - I had expected to.

littlemisssensible · 13/07/2007 10:34

Felt so depressed last night that I ate nearly a whole box of maltesers

But I'm feeling happier today because dd told me I was perfect!!! She says I'm a 'just right' cuddly mummy with a body that goes in and out like a proper girl (although my bum is a bit big apparently!)

I asked her which mummies at her school were too thin in her opinion and the list included all the mums that I always feel envious of!!!! So now I'm walking on air!

Now all I need to do is get the mirror to tell me what dd tells me and I can stop trying to eat healthily and just slob out!

TigerFeet · 13/07/2007 10:56

your dd is a star LMS

(Can I borrow her )

WigWamBam · 13/07/2007 11:26

Does anyone else have anything to declare before I post the weights?

OP posts:
littlemisssensible · 13/07/2007 11:45

Thank you Tigerfeet!

I'm very chuffed with her today and I hope it means that she has a realistic body image too! Though I guess there is still time for her to develop a size zero mentality

TigerFeet · 13/07/2007 11:53

how old is she LMS?
