I had been losing weight fine. Was having 1350 a day. Have not been hungry.

Then. I lost nothing one week, I never go over my calories. Ever !!!! So shrugged and waited till the next week.

Next week I weighed myself. And I had lost four pounds.

Weight myself the next week. Had put on two pounds. Again. I didn’t and never go over my calories.

Now it has been three weeks and I have not lost a single pound. Even though I have not gone over my calories.

Why. It is so hard to lose weight and now it feels like I’m doing all of this for no reason and I’m becoming disheartened.

I am 43. I am peri menopausal. Have been on a period for two months ( had scans etc everything is fine ).

Anyone got a clue ?

Should have added. The last weigh in was Thursday and I weighed 11 stone.

Keep going the scales will dip eventually honest. You’re at a plateau! Maybe do a bit more exercise to tip the balance a bit? Or maybe because you’ve lost a few pounds you dont need as many calories now? I have no idea if that’s actually accurate Grin

Look up the "whoosh effect"

Btw I'm 33, 5ft6 and realllly struggle to get under 11st. And I look quite thin when I get there too. I have it in my head I want to be 10st7lbs but my body just doesn't like it, could this be the case for you?

Depending on how much you have lost you could need to be calculated your calories.

How tall are you?

Also have you tried actually going over you calories? When I hit a plateau, it seems to work for me. I don't pig out and eat everything. Try and eat fairly healthy, bit add in 500 more calories for 1 or 2 days.

Not sure why, it always does the trick.

I highly recommend a smart scale. I’m meticulous, non hormonal and salt will easily give me a 1-2 lb weight swing.
During long plateaus I can track increased muscle gain which again affects the number on the scale.
