How to lose 7 pounds in 1 month

I used to be 11.9 stone and I am 5'4" and I managed to lose 2 stone in 6 months. If you want to know how I did it just follow these steps.

So first thing I did was make myself a very strict diet: breakfast at 6:00 am which is always a protein shake and muesli
Go to the gym and follow the steps from your pt
Lunch at 1:30 pm which is always a salad
Then I go for a 5 mile run. It starts off hard but you get used to it
Then I have dinner at 8:30 which is normally some veg and some meat and some carbs
Then I do a few 'at home workouts' so things like pushups, sit ups and burpees. Then I go to bed at 11pm and then I get up at 6 and follow the steps again

Ok I will follow these steps

Riddlediddle · 12/02/2019 20:03

So when exactly do you fit a full time job and looking after kids into these steps?

1sttimedd · 12/02/2019 20:04

Well done! I joined Slimming World and lost 2 stone in 3 and 1/2 months and I didn't move an inch more than I had before!

Different strokes for different folks!

MissPinkCakeyBun · 12/02/2019 20:07

Each to there own I've lost 1st 3lbs in 5 weeks eating sensibly, having a disability that limits exercise and working a stressful full time job. Slimming World has worked for me as I now eat sensible sized meals packed full of vegetables and lean protein.

Like the others said....full-time parenting and working and also disabilities limit what we can all do.

Congratulations on your weight loss

@Riddlediddle i was actually sacked from my old job because of my weight so i decided to focus on this so I could actually stay in a job. So at that time I didn't actually have a job. :)

Erm I lost that sort of weight by eating 1,200 calories per day and doing very light exercise a few times per week and I'm only 5'?

Didn't eat breakfast ever (can't face food before 11am)

m0therofdragons · 12/02/2019 20:20

You were sacked because you were 11st 9 and 5ft 4?! I'm losing weight at the moment but starting weight was 11st 9. I'm same height and was a comfortable size 14 (now a 12) so unless you were an underwear model you wouldn't lose a job for being that big Hmm

Well actually I was an aerobics instructor. Although I was quite fit they didn't think it was the right image.

If you lost 2 stone in 6 months then presumably that was an average of 4.6667 pounds a month - not 7 pounds a month.

Seems very extreme for 1 pound a week.

Was 7 pounds your largest weight loss in a month?

Am amazed you managed to get that heavy when working as an aerobics instructor! I guess it proves the whole “you can’t out trains bad diet” thing.

Are you back at work now?

Riddlediddle · 12/02/2019 20:32

Well that's discriminatory then I hope you took them to the cleaners!
I'm 5'5 and weigh just under 11 stone. I'm just using myfitnesspal to monitor calorie intake to 1200 or less per day and I'm doing about 15 mins of exercise per day. I think this is realistic and should hopefully help me shift some weight before simmer arrives (summer bodies are made in winter!)
