I need a caffeine alternative

I have recently stopped drinking coffee, I used to rely on it to get me out of bed but i cant deal with the crashes, it eventually makes me so sluggish and gives me a headache. I used to drink a lot of Redbulls and other energy drinks, but this does the exact same thing to me now! I could deal with it when i was younger but i need something that doesn't give me a crash, especially with my 2 year old not sleeping through, Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?

Honestly? More sleep.

Instead of looking for things to get you through and keep you going, the healthier thing to do would be to change your lifestyle so that you slow down and rest more.

If your toddler doesn't sleep well, you may need to go to bed much earlier yourself to get some rest. Or embrace the daytime nap yourself whenever you can. Prioritize your sleep over other things, because it is important for your health and well being.

Grated fresh ginger and lemon slices in hot water.

Mint tea

Rooibos tea

I agree with FATE of course, but there are lovely comforting hot drinks to have instead of your 'fixes' Grin . Green tea has a delicate amount of caffiene, best not to have too late in the day, the same with hot chocolate.

I have a chicory and and ginger tbag drink with molasses for a healthy sweetener. (you can buy it in HF shops, or Waitrose, ginger tea on it's own is lovely too, as is mint tea.)

Snap Sheldon Grin

All great suggestions and I love tea aswell! My sleep in the main hasn't being too much of a problem, even when i have a good nights sleep though, I seem to still need a little boost in the afternoon...

i'm a big fan of pukka green tea - in particular the one with ginseng

The feelings of tirednesss and exhaustion, I have discovered, is down to eating too much wheat, it's in everything!

Best to raise the uptake of fresh foods for energy, not sugar!
