Anyone else In a similar situation?
I have been told have to loose 3 stone before I can be given any treatment for infertility on NHS- next appointment in March and they will give me the tablets if the weights gone by then.
Im 5ft 2 and currently 14.2- have active lifestyle - walk for hour at lunchtime and workout at home but still finding it hard to shift.

I had to lose 3st to get medical treatment. On the day of my surgery I had gone from a BMI off 44 to 33.9. They wanted me under 35.

I faffed about then joined SW as I needed to be held accountable. Lost 3st in 25 weeks.

The surgeon was quite bitchy on the day as she said she didn't want to operate as my BMI had been 36.1 the day my consultant agreed to put me on the list. I made her weigh me and get my accurate BMI and she couldn't say no. It took 13 months to get to the op from the initial refusal.

SW isn't for everyone but it worked for me. I have now lost 5.5st and been at target for 9 months. Am glad they said no now.

Maybe try doing IF like 16:8 if you want try something different. It helped me a lot. And it should help with fertility. Good luck!

Anyway I hope you find something that works for you

Yes I had to do the same. Just get stuck in. Diet and exercise. The reason is that BMI is linked to you producing healthy eggs, so for fertility treatment on nhs you have to be below the bmi. My first ivf didn't work but we were lucky that from that we had some frozen embryos left. I put some weight back on but didn't have to lose it again to have the frozen ones out back in , because I wasn't having to produce the egg for the treatment at that stage.
It's hard but you'll get there. Be strict with yourself. For the last 2 weeks before my appointment I went hardcore and did the Cambridge diet because I was still 12lb away... I hated it but managed to be dead on weight target at my appointment!!
