Losing weight whilst TTC/pregnant this year

Anyone in this boat and want to join me?

We’ve been tentatively TTCing for a couple of months but going ‘properly’ from Jan. I have a 26 day cycle but generally ovulate around day 14 so should be on from my end, except I am fat. Not really fat, but around a BMI of 29, on a 5”2 body, so really need to lose weight and want to be healthy for my baby.
There’s a bit of my brain that says ‘we’ll you’d just get fat being pregnant anyway, so what’s the point’ but I know the science doesn’t back that up when it comes to health. It also may welll take me a while to get pregnant, so any weight lost in the interim is a bonus. The NHS also suggests overweight women should only put on 15-25lbs during pregnancy, so even if I get pregnant sensible weight loss is still a good idea.

Any other women TTCing and also hoping to lose weight for their health in 2019 - please join me

I'm doing omad fasting. I'm at the hairdressers right now and haven't eaten yet. Strangely not hungry. I do have terrible mood swings though, period is on sunday I just want it over with.

How's everyone getting on? I went back to the gym yesterday. Walked the 2 miles there did 200cals on the bike, 200 on the treadmill and 50 legs presses. Then swam a mile and walked home. To say I couldn't move was an understatement.

Af is over now on cd5 fingers crossed for 3rd month lucky Smile

I've lost three pounds at the end of this first week of being a bit better but not perfect. So I am pleased with that. Still not had any alcohol which I am surprised about as I really like to have a glass of wine, but the bit of weight loss I have had this week has been really encouraging for me.. how much of that is down to the fact AF has been happening so.. water retention blah blah, but whatever I will take it! Also not had any bread as such.. like toast or sandwiches but I did have home made naan bread with our curry the other night which I decided to let myself have.

I'm using my fitbit and trying to get at least 5000 steps a day.. depends how tired I am with DD getting up so early at the moment. Some days I go 150% over and other days, like today, I am only half way and its half 7 at night so won't be making it today, I can't bring myself to walk around my living room! Hope everyone else is getting on ok.. I am so impatient now to get AF fully over with and then try again this month. We are on month 7 of TTC since my period returned after cutting down on feeding DD... however only month 2 of TTC since stopping feeding her altogether.. so don't know how much that was still impacting or not. Fingers crossed for us all this month!
