Huel? Anyone tried it?

Has anyone tried this? I know one person who buys it and says it's good but all the reviews I have found have been on the huel chat. I'm not sure about sinking £50!!!
However it would be very convenient for work and breakfast, take the thinking away.

Convenient. Use a proper blender or it's a bit of a battle of wills because it's powdery. Like everything else it will only help weight loss when accompanied by proper exercise and it isn't realistic to survive off without proper food once or twice a day unless you live in an actual post apocalyptic society. (Which is what it was developed for).

Bufferingkisses · 04/11/2018 22:15

More helpfully, I found it best used 50:50 with a protein powder as it balanced the powdery taste a bit and wasn't quite such hard going. The protein powder outweighed how carb heavy it was too.

Thank you buffering, I was thinking of mixing it with a nutribullet. I will look into protein powders as well.

DH has it but he's a proper weirdo. I stick to normal food.

MajesticWhine · 04/11/2018 22:26

Oh and DH has it because he has an intense training regime so not good for weight loss - it's quite calorific isn't it?

statetrooperstacey · 04/11/2018 22:32

I think it's only calorific if you have too much of it if that makes sense 😁 I dont think it would be more calorific than the stuff i do eat at work! I am trying to eat at regular times throughout the day and thought this might help, and it's also quick and easy to prepare . Im a starve or stuff kind of person so am trying to stop that cycle.

My husband has lost a stone in 5 weeks on Huel. He blends it with a banana and some frozen berries and adds water which vastly improves the taste than just water alone. He has it twice a day and one normal meal. We have made a second order and I am going to join him.

statetrooperstacey · 04/11/2018 22:38

Thank you tuttifrutti I hope it works for you.

My husband also uses it for work lunches. He also got it to stop the feast or famine lunches. He says it does fill him up, but he loves food so slightly misses it.

statetrooperstacey · 04/11/2018 23:01

Thank you yet another thing,I have done Jason vale 7 lb in 7 days and managed a week without food so I think I would be ok with this .

Have a look at Purition - it’s much more nutritious
