with a stonking headache by the evening, couldn't sleep and needed to get up for a wee twice during the night

that's not how it's meant to be, is it?

keep at it. you're not used to it. but it IS better for you.

Did you know that it's an urban myth that we need to drink that much water ! Has recently been disproved - now they say that water in food and tea/coffee all counts and you only need drink water if you actually feel thirsty !

mytwopenceworth · 14/06/2007 15:50

really? i thought advice was to drink at least a litre a day to prevent dehydration and by the time you felt thirsty, you were already dehydrated.

There is so much written about the pros and cons of drinking water. I do try and drink at least 2 litres a day and the loo trips do become less as your body gets used but I think it's a good thing and defo helps my weight loss!

I'm mainly trying to do it for the weightloss (let's hope that works!), have also heard that it's a myth, but I am really rubbish at drinking even the bare minimum and will quite often just have a few cups of tea and nothing else.

The headache's gone thank goodness!
