600 calories - this must be madness !

Started what can only be described as an insane 8 week challenge. It's basically a low fat, low carb, no sugar, no caffeine - very controlled diet. Paired with Daily HIIT training. Worked out my calories yesterday and after exercise I only consumed 600 !
FML surely that is complete insanity..... FWIW I'm not overweight, just trying to strip out fat to reveal muscle. This won't work long term will it ??

Why not do it 2 days a week - it's what you do on 5:2 diet. If you're not overweight, this should help you look more toned without you losing nutrients.

Movin · 09/10/2018 08:42

I'm trying to do something specific with my body (ie strip out all the fat) so I'm sure 5:2 would have the same effect .... however I might die in the process ....

The blood sugar diet might be another option, it is 800 cals a day for 8 weeks, but moderate fat. I think you risk slowing your metabolism though esp if you are slim anyway www.scientificamerican.com/article/6-years-after-the-biggest-loser-metabolism-is-slower-and-weight-is-back-up/

It’s not something advocated by a woman in Hertfordshire is it? I signed up to do something similar earlier this year (she didn’t say how many calories were involved but I counted them for 3 days on MFP) but couldn’t sustain it beyond those first 3 days. Ultimately I thought it was insane and no way to live.

I lost 5 and half stone doing this in just under 5 months.

Gained it all back in about 3 Blush

I have just calculated my cals for this fat loss plan and came up with 1560 per day for my cals ... slightly higher!

It's the F45 8 week challenge, I've done it once this year and won it for my studio. So trying it again. Didn't put much back on in between, but trying to get leaner again. Last time I didn't stick to it 100%. So I want to give it a better shot this time and take the prize out again. (It's a bigger cash pot this time) I don't remember being this bloody starving - lol

Well 4 days on 600 calories and I'm still alive. Just.
