Helllooooooo, where are you all???????

OP posts:
Crotchety · 19/06/2007 16:20

Well I'm at work today...have just eaten a free work lunch (designed to make us go to meeting) which probably contained about 1000 g of carbs...So indeed there is no such thing as a free lunch.

OrmIrian · 19/06/2007 16:28

I've just eaten a piece of flapjack with chocolate on it Gawd it was luverly. Problem is that now I'm on the prowl for more sugary junk.

Never mind - going for a run tonight.

oggsfrog · 19/06/2007 19:38

Today I've eaten;
pork crackling (not the best breakfast, but hey)
slice of med rare roast beef (yummy)
prawn cocktail salad

small cup decaf coffee w/splenda and soya milk
lots of water (at least 2 litres)
small cup tea w/ splenda and soya

And I addressed the lack of excercise.......

....went to the library to hire a dvd, but they were all crap. Then I spotted a lone dance workout dvd by Helen somebody (was on Big Brother apparently) so I hired it.

I got home and fed the chickens then put it on with dd(7).

Well, I managed the 10 min warm up, and about 15 mins of the main workout when I realised I'd still got my bloody wellies on

Phew, I was knackered. (Dd managed the whole tape)

That Helen's not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer , but we had fun, and dd said she wants to do it again after school tomorrow

That doesn't sound enough to eat Frog, unless you are doing the Extreme Measures thing?
No idea who this Helen is either...

Ooh, a lc ldc? Yummy. Is such a thing possible? Good luck Marsy

Strawb, would have thought you'd be about the Tracker bar rather than the pork scratchings

I know Crotchety, 'tis not enough, but had no eggs in the morning and was out all day shopping and zooming around. It was a very big prawn cocktail salad though
I bought a tub of ready made prawn cocktail, then dumped it on top of lettuce, red peppers, red onions, cucumber, a chopped up big green chilli thingy, and diced tomato. Then thoroughly doused it with lemon juice. Was delicious.

Went and spoiled it all by drinking a bottle of wine though while staying up late and watching The Goblet of Fire....

Cheers Strawb

I'll have that lovely mental image forever

I used to eat a lot of them (some brands are better than others), but only have them in an emergency now.

OK - I haven't tried this, but here is a crisp aternative from the interweb :

Truly Low Carb Cheese Crisps
Popular for years, these are hardly original, but they are a MUST in any low carber?s repertoire.

1/3 cup semi-hard shredded cheese, such as Cheddar, Colby, Swiss, etc.

Do not attempt to use very soft cheeses such as Feta, Mozzarella, Brie, etc.

Heat a non-stick pan over medium high heat. Sprinkle sliced or finely shredded cheese in a thin layer over the bottom of the entire pan. Okay, are you ready? Here's the big secret: Leave it alone for several minutes! First it will bubble up all over, then start to look almost lacey (with lots of holes in it); finally you will see clear grease start to run off. When it is lightly golden brown, start carefully teasing up the edges until you can pick it up and turn it over. The second side will cook very quickly in comparison to the first. Drain on clean toweling. Shape into forms or cut into desired shapes before it cools too much. To form a bowl, simply lay over an overturned bowl and gently push the sides down to shape them. Don?t burn yourself!

Crotchety · 20/06/2007 15:18

And here's another one

Crotchety · 20/06/2007 15:19

Blimey I think that's my first successful link. I'll be starting the new thread next!

oggsfrog · 20/06/2007 16:39

Oh, I say. Your first link?

Congratulations

But bear in mind that if eaten in any quantity the cheese ones do contain some carbs, whereas the toe nails don't contain any .
