Lost some weight, then insatiable appetite and regained!

Hmph. My own fault but I've had a month of just not overeating and perhaps reducing carbs. Regular exercise and no stress two weeks have been on holidays.

Back to work, reduced sleep (admittedly) but it's like a switch has come back on my appetite is insatiable. Carbs, n=more cars I even snapped at my little one when I got in from work as was desperate to raid the carb bucket.

It's just tackling this rebound appetite I get whenever I lose a little weight. Sigh, anyone else get this?

Me. I'm going to try and eat better tomorrow. All my clothes are tight now. I got down from a size 12-14 to a size 8. Took me over a year. Eaten normal amounts all last month. Gained weight and clothes tight and knees hurt. Seems I can eat only 1200 to maintain the low size /weight. So depressing.

Hi Blondie,

Wow to a size 8.. well done, although I couldn't ever be a size 8, I think if i were to be I would have to keep kcal very low. I think we have a set weight our bodies want to be at, mine is 10 stone (body fat 32%!) and as I have got older past the 40 mark, it all goes on my bottom and thighs. So although I used to be only a stone lighter, I now look tubby. Its not the end of the world but so frustrating that I lose the weight then that desire to eat all the time becomes overwhelming and it stops when I reach stone again - so I feel it must be hormonal.

My appetite changes with my menstrual cycle. I just try to ensure the extra calories I need are as healthy and filling ad they can be. So if I need carbs, I have extra porriage oats for example.

It's swings and roundabout though.

In weeks 1 and 3 of a woman's menstrual cycle (after menstruation and ovulation) are tricky for fat liss, weeks 2 and 4 are great for both weight loss and slso muscle building. So if you find the ebbs and flows that go with your cycle disheartening, you could change to weighing yourself only once a month and always at the same point in the menstrual cycle.

I've heard that about body's set weight. I think mines between 9 and 10 stone.

I put on weight there too. I'm a pear. Although if it's any consolation, pear shapes are the healthiest off all body shapes to be!... Im sure I read that somewhere!

Since I posted last, I've been really good. Trying to stop when full a la Paul mckenna!

Hi Blondie,

Just reread the above and sorry for such a late reply. I had a terrible day today, looked at the calendar and 1 week away from the dreaded time. Maybe I’m using that as an excuse (??)

Hope you’re surviving!
