MyFitnessPal: anyone follow it?

I used to follow SW, then WW, then SW again and now I am calorie counting because the latter are far too expensive to keep doing, not to mention the shopping side of it is so pricey! I am on my first day of calorie counting and I am also going to be doing a session of HIIT at home (YouTube). Anyone else doing it to?!

I’m not but can I just say fair play to you!!! I use Strava and it’s not made accurate but it gives me an idea. And I’m just making stuff from scratch avoiding the hidden sugars etc

I do. It's good for making conscious food choices.
I've never used it to lose lots of weight though. The only people I know who've used it have been fitness people seeking to tone up a bit.

I don't see why it wouldn't work for bigger weight loss though. Just change the calorie goals and / or macros (how much protein, carbs etc you want to aim for in a day).

Been using the app. I've lost nearly 3 stone.

Yes it’s brilliant. I hate faddy diets. It’s the only thing that works for me.

I do helps me make better food choices. Great to track exercise as well.

rosettesforjill · 07/09/2018 21:54

I've used it to lose about 3 stone. Still using it now to avoid massive amounts of weight in pregnancy. I think it's great - I can't believe it's a free app!

Someone here recommended it to me about 2.5 months ago and a love it! I need to track carbs in particular (recently diagnosed diabetic) but also wanted to track calories and fat in an attempt to lose weight.

I’ve lost 2 stones in that time and have definitely seen some of my diabetes symptoms reduce or go completely. I would have really struggled without the MFP app (just the free download version), so I can’t recommend it enough.
