I read a discussion about this a while back on MN. I think it would work well for me and wonder how others have found it? I don't understand how the food keeps fresh without being refrigerated. How successful was it for you and is it worth the money? How good is the food? Thank you.

Hi! I’m on it! Lost 4 3/4 lbs last week ( took a break whilst on holiday so first week back on for me)
The food is very nice. I liked everything but the soups- but then indon’t generally like chunky soup. I have tried all the veggie stuff and once you adapt to the significantly smaller portions they’re good.
They are in those pack like you get ready made rice in iykwim? The ones you just microwave. Other stuff is in trays but is sealed up like those baby meals you can buy off the shelf in the baby food aisle? I promise you they stay fresh and do not need refrigerating!

P.s. didn’t answer all questions properly...
Yes, is expensive- but worth it for me as busy ( as are we all) and when I get stressed and tired I just think fuck it- can’t be arsed to cook at have cheese and crackers or a take away. This removes this all for me as it’s there waiting to go. Also, it’s palatable and not so differ t to regular food- not like doing a meal replacement diet with shakes. You don’t have to be super organised or alaways plan stuff just grab something out the box and buy a salad or a few carrots!

Thanks, that's encouraging. Do you have to microwave some of it as I don't; have a microwave?

Yes, I cook everything in microwave- but everything has instructions on for regular oven too.

I tried it and gave up I'm afraid. I found the food absolutely disgusting :( It comes in boxes and poly bags but after trying various breakfasts, lunches and dinners I couldn't carry on. What a waste of money! I'd recommend trying a few before committing to the plan.

You can sometimes buy an meal or two on eBay. However, they do let you swap stuff you don’t like.

Oh dear Wereareyou, that's what I am afraid of!

I have been on the Jane Plan diet meals for six months. I have stuck rigidly to the plan but my weight loss is minimal. My last Food Parcel arrived before the May Bank Holiday and I unpacked the food. On Tuesday 7th May 2024, I decided to have Slow Cooked Beef in Ale with veggie mash. When I peeled back the cellophane air-tight cover, the veggie mash was completely green fungus. On checking the outer cardboard sleeve, it says Best before March 2025. I looked at another dinner from the same food parcel, Slow Cooked Beef in Ale with veggie mash and this one was in perfect condition, without any fungus. I have made several attempts to contact Jane Plan, but they haven't come back to me yet. I even sent them a photograph of the green fungus on the veggie mash, but I feel they are avoiding getting back to me. I'm going to take my Slow Cooked Beef in Ale and Veggie mash with green fungus to my Environmental Health Office and ask them how I should proceed.

Meals very small and not really tasty, you have to eat plenty of veg with them to stop being hungry! I was horrified when opening a Chicken Korma to find the rice a horrible green colour.I sent a photo and was offered a refund or replacement, I chose a refund!
This has made me very wary of eating any more of their meals.I certainly w
