Oh help...I can be good all day, but come the evening...

...it all falls apart and I want to nibble all the wrong food

What can I do to stop craving all the rubbish in the evening after dinner and undoing the 'being good' in the day?! Aaargh!

Oh I hope someone has the answer to this as I am exactly the same.
I know the theory about eating breakfast etc but it just doesn't work for me.

Don't laugh but years ago I took up cross stitch to keep my mind off food and it worked-in fact, maybe I should start it again (and obviously not tell anyone)

I try to be good. I do have breakfast, lunch etc and try not to get too 'straving' hungry cos I know it's better to keep topped up.

I'm not hungry after my dinner, but the craving for carby and or sweet stuff is so strong and then I just blow it.

Pieces of fruit etc just don't hit the spot.

God I'm going to wire my mouth shut. Or the fridge. Or both

I am so with you. Have been doing Weightwatchers with DH. We are following it at home as I have got to Gold in the past. He is driving me insane by telling me morning and night how much he has lost. I worked really hard for the first few weeks, lost 3 1/2 lbs (not much, I know but only wanted to lose 8lbs). I put on 2 lbs this week . Today I have stuffed all night. Do you think it has something to do with being premenstrual? Will I be magically svelte after my period if I don't go wild?

BTW evening munchy tips - sugarfree jelly (NO POINTS WITH WW), Caramel rice cakes (1.5 point each one), crackerbread with phili and chili dipping sauce (love CDS - no points, I eat it with everything!) (About 1 opint in total). Obviously can't go mad but a good combo of sweet and savoury.

Oh they sound yummy snacks Good suggestions 3Babesfull.

Where do you get the chilli dip from - is it a WW one? I like things like that with a bit of zing in them.

I'm trying to go it alone atm and haven't joined anything...yet. I can see how a group can be encouraging. I tried years ago to go to WW but it was such a kerfuffle getting to the meetings for me that it all went pear shaped. A bit like me really!

Maybe I should have another go; I have a little more time now the dc are at school. Last time there was absolutely no spare time for anything.

I'm sure, as you say, being premenstrual has the worst possible effect for food cravings. I'm coming back as a man next time - no pm stuff to contend with, or the weight gain after children to worry about either. They get all the breaks!
