How long is that for! Smile

(Are bananas ok in the fridge?)

MurielsBottom · 07/08/2018 14:55

Wow! How long is that going to last OP. Will you get to eat it all before it goes off. (Never a problem in our house with two teens)

It does look a very attractive fridge though.

delphguelph · 07/08/2018 14:56

OMFG a fridge thread, amazing!

What are you going to do with that butternut squash??

delphguelph · 07/08/2018 14:56

3 caulis??!!

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 07/08/2018 15:01

Bloody hell, how many of you are there? That's a lot of fruit and veg Shock

DeadBod · 07/08/2018 15:03

I never put bananas in the fridge.
What are you doing with 3 caulis?
Looks nice and healthy though.

Longdistance · 07/08/2018 15:05

I live a fridge fred.

Are you juicing all that?

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 07/08/2018 15:16

Get the tomatoes out of the fridge or they will be woolly and disgusting. Please. I beg you.

Chocolaterainbows · 07/08/2018 15:18

Should tomatoes not be kept in a fridge? Shit, I've been doing it wrong!! Confused

ThePricklySheep · 07/08/2018 15:21

Mine seem ok in the fridge unless I’m trying to get them a bit riper.

Titsywoo · 07/08/2018 15:24

Bananas go black in the fridge. Either there are 6 of you or you're only eating veg for the next week! Half of that would go off before I got the chance to eat it.

Dreambathroom · 07/08/2018 15:33

Can you please share your meal plan?

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 07/08/2018 15:34

OP, come back and tell us what you plan on doing with it all.

Any other fridge photos from anyone else? I'm a nosy cow

UAEMum · 07/08/2018 15:51

Wow! What a response. Im so excited with my fridge lol
Its for 1 week. We are a family of 7.
3 cauliflowers because i have discovered the joys of cauli rice and cauli couscous so i will stick them through the food processor and use them as a low carb/cal alternative for a few of us.
Bananas are fine in the fridge. They keep them in cold storage in the supermarket.
Tomatos are in the fridge because i live in the UAE and it is too hot to keep them out, they go off too quickly.
The butternut squash will go into a low cal chicken tikka massala later in the week.

This is the nice fridge (as my 4 year old says). The watermelon had to move here due to lack of space

Ah, I see. Please ignore my earlier comment, then. Your fridge looks lovely, mine is full of elderly jars of pesto, curry paste and the like, along with five enormous courgettes because a friend of DH's keeps giving them to him and there's really only so much courgette I can cope with 🙄

UAEMum · 07/08/2018 16:04

I will also make tomato soup I think.
LadyMonica have you made courgette fritters? They are yum!

LynetteScavo · 07/08/2018 16:38

I need 2 fridges! Envy

peanutbutterandbanana · 07/08/2018 23:21

I'm well jell, OP - a food plan too! You are rightly proud of both your fridges. You are now officially an adult!

Begging for courgette fritter recipe as we have a glut of them here. Can't wait for our fig tree to produce. It's going to be a bumper year.

UAEMum · 08/08/2018 14:55

These were the ones i made and they were delic.
