Boom bod - started today - anyone else?

Hi all
I've started boom bod today as I saw a promo article on it which offered 2 for 1 so I thought why not?
It was 2 packs for £30 so they were delivered on Friday so starting today.
I'm doing this because I weigh 15 stones and I'm fed up about it.
I've done other diets in the past but the weight always creeps back up but this time I want to lose it so I can get pregnant as DP and I have decided to have a baby. I have a 4 year old boy from a previous relationship and that pregnancy was ok though was at a slight risk of GB.

So started this morning, had the morning one and no problems to report and I didn't feel hungry til lunch so had the lunch one 30 minutes before having a chicken salad for lunch.

Have to say I don't feel at all hungry right now and the thought of having my normal big dinner is filling me with dread though that may be the heat!! Hmm

So..... So far so good and, strangely enough, my belly looks flatter! I look down and just my boobs then feet rather than just belly!!!

Feel free to join in as I'd love a bit of support on this!

Will post again tomorrow xx

Good luck! Would be interested to hear your progress. I am considering this for DH.

greeneyedlulu · 23/07/2018 17:31

Should also say I thought this would be a nice kick start to a calorie controlled diet like the BSD/5.2 I've done that before with success but, of course, fell of that wagon!!

Day 2 and all good so far but last night I did have dinner before the sachet! However I do believe that having the sachet after dinner did keep me out of the fridge as I only had a handful of grapes as a snack!

So food intake yesterday was
Sachet
1 coffee
Sachet
Chicken salad
Apple and grape snack pack
Dinner of breaded fish, oven baked, tiny portion of chips and a mountain of salad.
1 glass of wine with dinner (not my normal bottle!)
Sachet
Pint of water
Grapes

I didn't go to bed feeling hungry and even better I didn't have any of my normal indigestion that I usually have in the evening.

I did weigh myself this morning and no loss yet but as I mentioned yesterday, my belly does seem flatter, I feel less bloated so quite positive so far.

Doing ok but still no weight loss but I'm keeping strong, could it be that guzzling so much water that I have water retention? Who knows?
So yesterday's food intake was
Sachet
Coffee
Sachet
Lunch of chopped veg with hummus but I was so full up after just half the box that I put it away.
After work I went for drinks so I had the night sachet at around 5pm then I finished the chopped veg and had a minibaby bel and a small pack of bread sticks.
Then when I got home I had a sandwich and I managed to stay out of the cupboard too!
Overall my food in take had definitely dropped since doing this and I do feel less bloated and I'm not suffering from usual stomach aches.
Hoping for some results soon though

So this morning I've finally lost 1.5 pounds! Not a huge amount but it's in the right direction!
Yesterday's food was
Sachet
3 coffees
1 slice of toast with peanut butter
Sachet
1 small ham and cumcuber roll for lunch
Sachet
Spag bol for dinner with a glass of wine

I used a smaller plate for dinner which certainly helped me eat less last night and I did manage to stay out of the cupboards again last night.

Granted this may not be the 'miracle' I thought it would be but I'm happy with my progress so far based purely on the non snacking after dinner!!

X

Hello greeneyedlulu! I started this as well a couple of days ago; day 1 was fine, day 2 I was ill (I think I reacted to the sachets but not sure), lost a pound since starting tho! Like you, my food intake as dropped but I am not sure if its all the water I am drinking which I never usually would or just if I am just being more disciplined about food. Either way, like you, I don't think its a miracle but I am on the right track & I think it will def come in handy for fast days on 5:2 and to get me started generally ( - I've been out of control lol!). How much are you trying to lose? I need to lose two and half stones. Its harder than it used to be, losing weight. Best wishes xx

FlibbertyGiblets · 26/07/2018 14:13

Your normal alcohol intake is a bottle so cutting to one glass only will really help. Good luck.

Whistle73 · 26/07/2018 15:52

Interesting! Keep us updated OP!

greeneyedlulu · 26/07/2018 15:53

Npak
I'd like to lose a couple of stones to be honest as with my previous pregnancy I went up to 17.5 stones and I reckon that would be much harder to lose if I got pregnant again!
But overall, I just want to be healthier and I'm unhappy with myself now so this was more of a kick start!!

You are doing well greeneyedlulu - stick at it - the other benefit I found with the sachets was they seem to fulfil any sweet craving I might have - they are quite sweet aren't they. Re the alcohol, if it helps, I went from being a fairly heavy wine drinker to nil last year and what has helped me is a non-alcoholic wine called Rawsons Retreat sparkling (in Tescos) - I have found all others undrinkable but if you like a dry white and want to drop some cals, its very low! Yippee! Good luck tomorrow! xx

Another 1lb off this morning!
When I started this thread I thought I was 15 stones, turns out I was 15.2 and the scales this morning read 14st 13.5lbs. So that's 2.5lbs off in 5 days, not too shabby! I'm actually happy to be below the 15 mark so will definitely keep at this!!

Yesterday was fairly simple food wise as I only had a chicken salad for lunch, carrot and hummus snack pack and then tuna pasta salad for dinner. Used a smaller plate but did have a second helping but it's salad so I'm not going to feel guilty!

Last night I did actually have a craving for a snack so had grapes instead of the mini babybels and olives I actually craved!!

Now let's see if I can behave over the weekend and keep this 2.5lbs off!! This will be the real test!!!

Another half a pound off and that's pretty good as I was a tad naughty yesterday!

Went for a quick drink after work and came home to burger and sweet potato wedges!! so yummy!

Up until going for a glass of wine id only had a chicken salad, 157 calories, and all 3 sachets throughout the day!! However including everything yesterday I was around 1600 calories for the day!

So tonight is dad's birthday so we are going for a Chinese meal!! But I reckon I share my food out and not eat so much like I normally would!

OP posts:
NPAK · 29/07/2018 20:58

Well done! Losing about half to a pound a day here too but without the boombod now. Hope your chinese was nice and you managed to be semi good! Well done xx

greeneyedlulu · 29/07/2018 22:41

I think I did ok yesterday but today my OH decided to make fresh bread! Think this may be my downfall (or up rising) on the scales tomorrow morning!

OP posts:
greeneyedlulu · 30/07/2018 09:06

Arrrrghhhhh

15.1 this morning!! Not happy but will be continuing with this week's supply!!!

OP posts:
greeneyedlulu · 31/07/2018 08:47

Morning all!

So the scales say 15 st and half a pound this morning which is only half pound off from yesterday! Have to say if there was a gain this morning I think I would have given up but I'm still going to carry on and I'm still watching the calories and what I eat.
Yesterday's lunch was chicken and cous cous salad and last night I had half a jacket potato with ham salad and a dollop of sour cream and everything was fairly small portions as I'm using smaller plates!!

I think I'm just going to have to suck it up and dig out that exercise DVD as I know that's what I really need to do but it's finding the time!

OP posts:
greeneyedlulu · 31/07/2018 19:24

Today has been the worst day by far as I'm really feeling hungry today and can't wait for dinner!!

OP posts:
NPAK · 31/07/2018 21:48

Don't lose heart you are doing really well. hope you have good day tomorrow & a loss xx

greeneyedlulu · 31/07/2018 23:34

Thanks npak x

OP posts:
greeneyedlulu · 01/08/2018 16:21

The scales said the same this morning but have to say not really feeling it today. Had a stomach ache this morning so haven't had the sachets today but have eaten sensibly, only had 460 calories so far - salad for lunch, an apple and a pack of fridge raiders.

OP posts:
greeneyedlulu · 03/08/2018 07:00

So still the same this morning so I think I'm done now, spent 30 quid to lose a pound!
That said I do think the sachets work as I did fill full and certainly ate less but maybe I needed to be more severe with the calorie intake.

Oh well but I'm certainly going to try to behave from now and snack less.

OP posts:
greeneyedlulu · 18/08/2018 11:13

So I did it again as I still had another box and I lost 6lbs in a week..... go figure!!

Would still recommend this purely just to stop the snacking!
