Going sugar free - has anyone done it

I have already lost 4st in weight by following SW, however I have to say that it was mainly on high sugar and high aspartame foods! Ever since embarking on a new and healthier me, I have been discovering ways of eating better. At the moment, I have reduced simple carbs significantly and I now eat various range of complex carbs to boost my energy. One thing I am now wanting to combat: my addiction to sugar.

Sugar is an absolute horrible, horrible addiction! I am addicted. One sniff of chocolate gives me a high, I have to put 2 heaps of sugar in my tea/coffee (this is when I am off my diet plan), and one thing leads to another. I now want to start going sugar free! Can anyone tell me if you have done it and what withdrawal symptoms/benefits did you gain from it?

Can I have a list of things I need to AVOID and things I can EAT? Thank you all so much. I want to do this! I have absolutely no energy despite eating "healthy" and drinking lots of water and exercising. I truly believe that sugar is the problem and I want to end it once and for all!

Thank you in advance xx
