Am fed up. I can lose weight relatively easily when I really can be bothered but this tyre round my waist with its non-so-attractive overhanging shelf simply doesn't shift. What would be your tips please? What kind of exercises should I be doing?

I'd concentrate on reaching a healthy ish weight first and then see how much it naturally reduces. I doubt there's any exercises that would make a huge impact unfortunately as it'll be loose skin - and certainly no point in trying abdominal exercises until you've concentrated on losing some weight first. Weight loss is 80% what you eat and 20% exercise
So I'd see how you go with a diet first and then see what it's like reduction wise in a few months. You may find it's a whole lot better

Thank you - very sensible advice. Will give it a go....just hope my willpower doesn't desert me this time.

When I was doing the Joe Wicks Plan (not the books) there were loads of women on my facebook group who had this problem and they really seemed to get good results, having not had much luck before. Maybe try that? I had great results too and will do it again after I've had my baby

I am the exact same shape.

That could be a picture of me. Exactly same shape too.

I'm the same shape when I have weight on, when I lose weight I never get a flat stomach but it looks so much better. If you lost about 2 Stone I bet that would be so much improved

Ouch do you still have the overhang when you lose the weight?
I have a history of veering between overweight and correct weight. Pre-children I still had the overhang but it went when I lost weight. I am not sure if it will go now, post section.
I want to lose weight and meet somebody. Don't fancy getting nekkid at my current weight.
