Anyone want to work on having a flatter stomach by the end of the summer?

I've been pretty much following a low GL diet for the month of June and walking a lot and I've lost a few pounds. It doesn't seem to have any effect on my midsection though. My waist is 33'' and that is very out of proportion because I'm only 5'3''ish and my hips are 37''.

My plan for the summer (so far) is:

  1. Keep up the walking but add 10 minutes of hula hooping and 5 minutes of stomach exercises in the evening.
  2. Keep up the low GL but with no eating after 7pm and protein and veg. only for dinner.
  3. Drink more (some, any) water.
  4. Exercise DVD 3 times a week.

I know it's not a very hardcore plan but it's something. It's very hot here and I think if I get too ambitious I won't do anything. Anyone else interested in doing something similar?

That sounds like one hell of a schedule!

I have a reasonably flat tummy, but an undefined waist and I think I look a bit podgy round the middle. My BMI is 20.1, so it's not an excess weight issue. I think I need to run more (not in this heat though - horrible enough doing 2 miles yesterday, when it shouid have been 5) and find some suitable exercises.
