The scales haven't changed but my 'wobbly tummy' / 'muffin top' has definitely grown!!

What's going on????

So the scales suggest I haven't put any weight on.
I'm 5' 10 and weigh around 9 stone 11. Ideally I'd like to be 9 stone 7 and know I need to eat better & exercise more to shred those final 4 lbs. However, I've been around the same weight for about a year now but just recently I feel much more 'fat' or bloated at least. I can grab more than a few inches around my middle and feel I have a 'muffin top' / 'spare tyre' which is much more obvious than it used to be.
My clothes do feel a bit tighter / more uncomfortable and I do often think I look fat round the middle.

Going off my height & weight though I know I'm not overweight and like I say, I've been this weight for a while now. So what could be causing the increase in size of my tummy and how can I get rid of it???

How old are you? After around 40 you gradually start to lose lean tissue from all over your body unless you actively maintain/grow it through strength training ( strength training also prevents loss of bone density so it is a really good idea for women). Therefore you may have lost muscle and gained the same weight of fat/water, leading to a bit of midriff wobble.
