the meals i normally make are carbs based, risotto, pasta bake,
so got to change this
so do you do veg/meat/fish with carbs on the side? and no carbs for you?
cooking for family, one a pescatarian, although not always home, although next week she is doing A levels so needs to be fed well.
what should i buy/cook?

Pizza.

High protein, low carbs (so they are side dish for others). Lots of veg.
Halloumi is one of my favs. Roasted tomato soup and other homemade soups. Lots of snack fillers that are easy to grab instead of something unhealthy (e.g. Carrot sticks etc, keep them in water in the fridge to stop drying out).

Frozen fish, chicken, good quality dark choc (a couple of squares satisfies the cravings!), oats (overnight oats satisfy longer than sugary cereal), frozen sweet potato, jacket spuds, new potatoes, wm bread, salad, fruit, low fat crisps (for a treat), low fat hummus, lean ham, eggs, strong cheese, small wraps, lots of peppers, onions, garlic, courgette and spray oil.
I'm slim and that's my normal shopping list.

Eggs. Lean meat. Fish.

I find it easier to plan a week's meals then shop for the ingredients. Saves money and waste too. Otherwise you'll just end up with a fridge of stuff that you can't actually make a meal out of.

You're getting a lot of strange replies. Passthecake had a lot of carbs on her list too unfortunately. I suggest you find the bootcamp spreadsheet on MN for a list of items and their carb count. Also check the recipies on 8 week sugar diet website. Also check ingredients and recipes on Diet Doctor website.
My LCHF basket looks like this most weeks:

Chestnut mushrooms
brocolli
leeks
Courgette
Peppers
Spinach/lettuce/salad leaves
Red onions (moderation)
Eggs
Salmon
Mackrel
(Any fish)
Pork (any)
Chicken thighs
Chopped tomatoes (used in moderation)
Bacon
Butter
Mayo - full fat, low carb, Waitrose Delois is nice
Coconut oil
Haloumi
Cheddar
Berries
Double Cream
Almond flakes
85% dark chocolate (Lindt)
Mint tea

Drink lots of water! I lose weight on this the weeks that I don't drink alcohol. If I drink alcohol, I tend to stay the same. Gin & Low sugar Fevertree or wine.
