Hamilton

I'm going to see Hamilton in July and being plus size I'm panicking that I wont be able to fit into the seats.

I've never had any problems in the theatres where I live but I'm petrified that I'm going to get there and not fit!

Not helped by reading an article that said London theatres are old Victorian buildings and tend to have less legroom and narrower seats than elsewhere. Although I do know that the Victoria Palace Theatre was renovated not long ago.

I am using this as motivation to shift some weight but realistically in 2 months I can lose maybe 1-2 stone (although I'm aiming for 2-3), but I have a lot more than that to shift.

Has anyone been to see the show, and if so how did you find the seat size?

For reference I'm 5'8" and a size 20 top, size 24 bottom.

I went in December and am a 20 bottom, 18 top- I was fine. Enjoy!

When I went I was a 22 bottom and 20 top and fit fine - don't worry!

Thank you both so much. That's really reassuring.

I got myself in a bit of a state over it but was too embarrassed to talk to anyone IRL.

I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine, but if you do feel a bit wedged in just turn your hips slightly to one side. It helps make a bit more room!

I saw it in February and there were two very large guys in the seats in front of me, I’m sure you will be fine!
