Hi all

Back to calorie counting again and I struggle so much with breakfast. Morning I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to breakfast no matter how early I get up.

Not a fan of porridge, avacado etc and trying to limit bread intake so just after some handy ideas that could keep me full from say 8.30 to 1pm when I get lunch.

Overnight oats?

I find eggs keep me full. I usually have a 2-egg omelette for breakfast with turkey breast (sometimes smoked salmon) and a simple salad. Takes about 5 minutes to prepare. I eat at 8, and am usually not hungry again until 2 or 3.

Greek yoghurt and a boiled egg. I boil several on Sunday night and just grab one each morning

I agree on the eggs, usually scrambled egg keeps me full until lunch, or sometimes passed lunch

Thanks all

HeyMicky how long do they keep for? That would be so handy

Hard boiled eggs keep for a week in the fridge.

I have FF Greek yoghurt and mixed berries (frozen when there are none from garden - defrost overnight or 2 mins in microwave while you boil kettle), with a sprinkle of granola or mixed nuts/seeds on top.

I know you said you aren't a fan of porridge. But what about oats/milk/ banana. Soak for ten mins, I use Quaker oats as they're finer.
Similar but without banana and a dessert spoonful of muscavodo sugar is gorgeous.

Mini muffins like the recipe above but 4eggs and 4 egg whites, 80g grated cheese and whatever veg or protein. Prep loads at once and keep them in the freezer, defrost about 30 secs in microwave as required. Take them with you in a sandwich bag or Tupperware pot. Working on a 12 muffin tin they come out About 60cals a piece. Good with coffee

Scramble an egg with a drop of milk and a pinch (10g) of cheese. Takes about a minute in the microwave. Wrap in a whole wheat tortilla wrap (if you look carefully you cat get slightly smaller size wraps that are only about 100cals. With a few a little chopped tomatoes if you want. Wrap in foil and take it with you. About 200cals, a little more with coffee.

A (brown) andwhich thin toasted with peanut butter (200 cals approx) or marmite (150 cals). Or as a sandwich thin with about 30g mozeralla toasted in a toaster sandwich bag for speed and ease (200 cals approx with tesco grated mozeralla more with other cheeses) . Served with coffee.
