ME and needing to lose weight

I’ve joined BiWi’s bootcamp, on the basis that if I lose weight it will improve my health ( I seriously need to quite apart from the ME) and the protein and veg must be good..

But does anyone have any experience and tips on how best to balance the two?

What do you mean by balance?

Back in the nineties when I had ME ( now recovered), I was put on a fairly strict diet by the medics - no sugar, no wheat, no caffeine, no dairy other than yoghurt & eggs, and reduced salt. My family already cooked well, but ended up with a lot of fish especially oily fish - mackerel and salmon and a lot of veg.
Lived off it save for odd occasions for over two years - definitely was a factor in recovery.

now it would be a lot easier to do now as herbal tea is pretty ubiquitous compared with the choice of Nescafé/ tea bags.

I actually find that the less I eat, the less symptoms I have. I try to keep all my eating between 12 noon and 8pm so that I have a fast each day, and avoid high sugar.

Bookish, that’s immensely heartening. Any other tips?

Altogether, funnily enough that’s what I do anyway because of sleep issues.
