lose 1.5 stone by July????

I'm around 11.5-12 stone (don't have scales but I was around 11.5 two years ago and my clothes still fit!).

If I ditch the wine and cut down food and ramp up the exercise for six weeks, is it possible to lose 1.5 stone by early July? I don't exercise much just yet other than walking.

I don't want to go extreme, we are a busy family and we eat together so making separate meals etc isn't really an option. I'm thinking cut out the obviously high calorific things and cut down my portion size. I have time to exercise for max an hour say, 4 times a week.

can it be done?

I have my fitness pal. Track all calories and helps you notice the extra bits you eat and make better choices.

At 2lbs a week you could loose 12lbs by July, maybe more. Big proportion of your target so i think you will notice a difference even if not the full 1.5 stone. Good luck!

Thanks - I will look into that.

I imagine just stopping the wine, which isn't excessive, but is regular will help without any other changes. But if I can cut out other non-essentials and the extras you talk about then that has to help too.

I don't have scales, so it's going to be hard to track weight as such, but I am thinking 1-1.5 stone off and I will just feel so much better and if I exercise in the bargain, everything will be easier.

I reckon a stone is easily do-able in that time.

I started using my fitness pal mid April and have cut out choclate/crisps etc and cut right down on alcohol.

I started at 10st 7lb and was 9st 12lb on Sun. Have weighed myself today and I am now 9st 7lb so a stone gone in 6 weeks!

I am trying to do running but not run this week as had a cold.

I have also massively increased my ways intake. I eat the same evening meal as the rest of the family but I am much more aware of portions now.

Gosh Pumpkin, that's great. well done to you. I have had a cold too this week so having got started on cycling last week, I've done nothing this week, but should get out tomorrow morning.

I've ordered some scales today! Visual aids of seeing, hopefully a pound or two come off will give me an incentive so figured it was worth the twelve quid....
