I think I would lose a lot of weight if I gave up wheat

But I can’t bloody do it!
Bread is my total downfall. If I couldn’t eat toast, sandwiches and cakes, I’d have to find something else which is quick for meals and snacks.
I’d probably pick more veg and fruit and lose weight.

Can anyone give me tips or do inspiration please?

I'm a bread person so I get it. I think I will always eat some bread. However tryna getting it down to one small one per day.

But at the moment training my taste buds to eat more ....

fruit
yoghourt
salads
rice
vegetables (kebabs) etc
nuts

Most of these are quick and easy ... except kebabs Grin

I craved bread and biscuits when I was low carbing

I lost 5 stone tho!

I'm considering doing it again to get this last stone off

I don’t eat any wheat, I’m intolerant to it.

I have jumbo oats with sultanas and pumpkin seeds for breakfast.

Greek yoghurt with flaked almonds or couple of dark chocolate rice cakes or carrot sticks and homous and some fruit for lunch.

Normally snack on cashews, salted popcorn.

Dinner you could have jacket potatoes, wheat free sausages, shepherds pie (if you make it without flour), chicken curry.

Unless you have an intolerance to eating wheat, I wouldn't bother giving it up. It seems like an awful lot of energy to cut it out.

Could you concentrate on one meal where you lay into the toast, like breakfast, and switch it up for something more nutritious until you break the habit? And then tackle it bit by bit?

I’m not intolerant to bread but I think it just triggers me to overeat.
I think it’s actually in my best interest to give it up. I’ve done it from time to time and I always feel better and lose weight but it always draws me in again and it all unravels.

I think wheat has a lot to answer for !! There's a great book that says it all (Wheat Belly by William Davis MD) he says ALL carbs are bad but I don't agree I eat pure rye bread from Waitose so I can have my toast and keep slim!! Ryvitas etc. It's not soo terrible or difficult to give up wheat, you can have brilliant wheat free pasta too, it's nicer than wheat pasta not so sloppy !!
