11st - need to lose 21lb

Feeling very down this morning. Weighed myself this morning and I'm 11st ffs. I want to be 9st 7lb and as I'm getting married next year and want to fit in my wedding dress I really need to drop 14lb at least.

I need to be giving updates, and need encouragement though as I am easily led astray!

Have not long suffered meningitis so I am exercising but slowly.

Hi I'm 11st 7lb I'm 5ft 3 don't know how I let myself get this big. For a week now I've been watching what I'm eating and exercising doing the 30 day shred and drinking lots of water I'm down 3lb. You must be so excited for your wedding I got married in 2013 I was 10st 10lb and my dress was a little snug but the lady was like not to worry I can take it out I didn't want her to do that. But for some reason I just wasn't motivated to lose the weight a month before my wedding I started to exercise and watch what I was eating and lost 14lbs I was 9st 10lb for my wedding I want to get back to that. You have lots of time just take it slow and don't be this heartened if there's no move in the scales cuz you could be losing inches. Wish you luck you can do it

What are your vices/weaknesses?

What exercise do you enjoy?

TheMonkeysAreMine · 11/05/2018 12:13

I've lost 7lb ish in 3 weeks. I was 12st 10 and I'm 12.3 now. But I've had to make some changes

Thank you ladies.

I lost 7st 3 years ago but was too skinny (8st 7lb) and looked dreadful (sz 6).

Had an extremely stressful move 6 months ago and was living in a literal shell of a property for 3 months so only really ate crap that was easy to cook.

My dp is a chef. Crisps, cheese and bread are my downfall and the fact that my dp and in-laws are feeders.

We walk the dogs every single day together, and I have started jogging 3 times per week so I am sure it will come off slowly but the realisation that I am going to have to calorie count and be more careful somewhat depresses me.

Mfp says 1420 calories per day

Wow! That's a lot of weight you lost!

Carbs, cheese and wine are my vices. I've had to not buy cheese, not buy wine and I've been filling up on Greek yogurt with seeds, hard boiled eggs, oranges and bananas if I get a pang.

I've been going to bed earlier, hitting the gym for cardio and weights and just trying to make better choices.

It is hard though and I lose focus with weight very easily as I bloody love food!!

Helpmeplan · 11/05/2018 14:27

I love food too, and both dp and I have to exercise to keep weight off. With our hours lately it has been really hard.

Oh I hear you! I live to eat, not eat to live!

Helpmeplan · 11/05/2018 14:38

Terrible isn't it

oP I was exactly 11 st on New Year’s Day, now weigh 9 st 8; still want to lose just one more pound.

I did it with MFP too. It works so simply, just tell it every time you eat or drink anything. So usually I eat v little during the day, have a healthy dinner and am then allowed another 300 or so cals for telly snacks.

I also drink v little alcohol at home as I always had to have crisps with wine etc.

Just go for it, I feel so much better now 😊

Helpmeplan · 11/05/2018 15:44

Thanks. I'm going to.

Run this morning 1.5m in 14 minutes. I need to increase distance now. Might just do double that round circuit.
