isn't that only if you are REALLY building lots of muscle, otherwise isn't it just something we say to make ourselves feel better when we don't lose any weight?

I've stopped obsessing (well, as much as before about the actual weight, and just celebrating (in a low-calorie kinda way) when a summer dress form a few years back ACTUALLY FITS!!!!!!!!! without too many unsightly bulges.

No it's true!...I weighed a lot more after a couple of years regular aerobics classes!

Pesme, muscle occupies less volume than fat and it also burns more calories than fat so either way, having more muscle than fat is desirable. You will burn more calories at rest if you have more muscle.

Don't confuse bodybuilding muscle types with normal muscle types. Women will not build huge, bulking muscles like men because our natural testesterone levels are too low. When women develop muscles they also develop shape, tone and firmness as oppose to the flabby, wobbly look that you get with having too much fat.

That is why weighing yourself frequently is misleading. You should also be measuring your dimensions (bust, waist, hips, thigh and arms) because these provide a more accurate guide of progress.

I lost 4.5 stones after I had my DTS and for the last stone, I would find that when I had not lost weight, I had lost inches.
