Woman's hour - how fat feels

Did anyone here the amazing interview with a woman and her husband on WH this morning? It was one of the most compelling , moving accounts of living with obesity I've ever heard. Quite brutal in its harsh reality of the effect obesity has on a marriage but searingly honest without a hint of 'woe is me'. Very brave.

For a change , a discussion on obesity from an articulate intelligent woman , who blew the 'fat and stupid ' label right out of the water.
Worth a listen.

sad listen :(

Yes it was sad, but also faced the reality of obesity and it's day to day difficulties. I also thought it was an excellent example of a genuinely supportive marriage with the couple both facing the difficulties together. The husband had the intelligence to look beyond the obvious and see that with many people who are fat/obese the underlying issue is much more than food. I thought it quite a moving and 'different' approach to the Obesity conversation.

She talked about how her friend was heavier but moved more lightly & was more comfortable within her own skin and enjoyed life.

Husband said obesity wasn't the problem, but his wife's attitude about it was a very huge problem.

Story was as much about depression as anything else.
