I was doing this but have slipped by the wayside the last couple of weeks, but keen to start again. So count me in. I have already lost 10lbs in the last 4 weeks, am aiming for another stone and a half, to get back to pre children weight.

Hi, can I join you? I want to loose at least 1 stone baby weight. I'm breastfeeding so I don't want to cut back on my calories significantly but have not lost any weight in last two months and it's depressing me. So my plan is to cut out all sugary snacks (biscuits, cake, chocolate, jam) Monday to Friday and start exercising. I need to do a bit more research on low GI foods online but it seems a healthy diet and I thought this thread would motivate me.

Hello All basically low GI is no sugar, no white bread/pasta refined carbs.....Every thing we eat has a GI number...I follow the South Beach diet which was set up by Dr Adrthur Agaston.....its ,like atkins but a low fat version.....however, you can still eat bread (although not in the first stage) Best thing, no portion control (im greedy me!)

How are we all doing today?

Hi all. Well I started with hot water and lemon then porridge made with water and a handful of blueberries. Lunch was mixed bean salad with weightwatchers tuna in tomato sauce on corn thins. I have managed 4 glasses of water so far. Tonight is baked sweet potato with steamed veg and salmon.

WEll done COV! I also had hot water with lemon, followed by about 6 tbs of kidney beans (don't ask!) then for lunch had chicken breast with Salad and balsamic dressing and tonight am having Chili Con Carne with Salad!!! No water for me but lots of tea and coffee with sweetner....
PS (Did eat one mouthful of kids shepherds pie I had made so cheated as had tiny bit of mash.....COV what porridge do you use?

Just organic rolled oats from Sainsburys. OK this morning again was hot water and lemon (am quite liking it tbh), then made a smoothie with oats, banana, blueberries, strawberries, skimmed milk and low fat yoghurt. Am off to search for more smoothie recipes and buy some hemp seeds (from another thread). Lunch will be wholemeal pasta with roasted peppers and cottage cheese. Supper will be poached chicken breast in a mustard and chive sauce with steamed veg and bulgar wheat.
