How to lose a stone and a wobbly tummy

I'm 42 and since I'm not planning on any more children, it's finally time to tackle the stone (maybe stone and 1/2) and wobbly tummy that's appeared since ds and dd. I'm 5'8'' and weigh 11s12 at the moment.
Can anyone recommend a good, cheap and relatively straightforward way of killing 2 birds with 1 stone? I'm not especially active (most walking is done at toddler pace), but I know that needs to change.

Hi pixie
I'm 43 quite a bit shorter than you but have lost 11 lbs in last 5 weeks by restricting calories to 1200 and logging everything on MFP. Also been running 4 times a week which helps but I use those as extra calories which means I can still have a few treats.
As you're a bit taller you can probably eat a bit more and still lose.
Am meant to also be doing some core strengthing exercises which should help with tummy but must admit I've been a bit lax with those. That's the next step!
Good luck - I'm on the Slenderistas thread which I find very supportive but there's a few other well-used ongoing threads which I'm sure are just as good!

Thanks Nan! 11lbs is great. I really just need to get on with it. I've been thinking of trying to stick to 1400 calories a day, going swimming and maybe couch to 5k. Thanks for the thread tip, I might join you!
