Never seem to be loosing weight! Implant?

I'm 5ft 4in and a curvaceous size 12-14 on top and probably more like a 16 below. I'm only 22 Sad before I had DD I was a 10-12 (always been curvy) but I was very slim and energetic. Even when pregnant I didn't put on much weight at all. The only thing I can pin point the weight gain to was when I got the contraceptive implant, which I've had in since a few months after DD was born (nearly 6 years ago).

Since then, I can only seem to loose weight by eating 100% healthy all of the time and running 3X a week which unfortunately, i can't maintain due to being busy/work/life/uni. I lost 4st last year doing slimming world but once my life got super hectic it all piled back on and to be honest, once I was at target it was really hard to maintain my weight Sad although I felt soooo much more confident and healthier.

Currently, I eat 'okay' not to bad but not the best all of the time either. However, I live rurally in a very very hilly area. I have to walk up and down the hills 4 times a day, 5 days a week. Essentially, I should not be the size I am! I just don't get it and I'm starting to wonder whether it is indeed the implant? I have no idea Sad just in case I've booked in for the non-hormonal coil in May.

Rant over! Any advice greatly appreciated as is a hand hold as it's really beginning to get me down now Blush

Sounds frustrating. It is unlikely to be your implant though. Although some women report weight gain with implant, when they do the studies the only contraceptive that is shown to CAUSE weight gain is the injection. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. It does seem to be a common side effect on the Nexplanon website but I was unaware studies said different. It just gets more confusing by the minute!
