Really just a happy dance and also hopefully a boost for anyone else struggling. Today I hit the very top end of a healthy BMI. I've lost just two pounds short of 5 stone to achieve this. My dress size has gone from a 22/24 to a 12. I have all the weight loss gods stacked against me: post menopause, I have no thyroid function of my own, my mobility isn't fantastic following an accident, I had been obese for a very long time. I'm now heading into my final stone to take me comfortably towards the middle of the range (and to get my waist measurement a bit more, it's still just a bit too high). It's taken 15 months to achieve this, and I followed the MN LCHF bootcamp. Everyone needs to find a way that works for them, for some it will be LCHF, others will prefer calorie counting or very low fat, I'm not proclaiming this way is the only way. But it has worked for me, when nothing else seemed to. I've made my peace with the fact this is for life for me, and that's fine, because at a point in my life where I was staring arthritis, diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease etc etc in the face, I have my life back and food is no longer a guilt ridden battle every second of the day. Today I feel very happy :)
