Affirmations / hypnosis for weightloss

Has anyone used a hypnosis or positive affirmations app to help with weightloss?

I'm sure I'm clutching at straws here but in my desperation I've downloaded one (free) and just wondering whether it's worked for anyone, or whether I have actually lost my marbles?

I’m using a hypnosis app. It’s a paid for one that makes you think you’ve had a gastric band fitted so you can’t eat much. I’ve not had my ‘op’ yet as I’m only in session 2 and it is working. However, It’s not a magic bullet. You still have to put the effort in and make mindful choices.
Mine comes with 4 guidelines that you have to follow. E.g eat what a slim fit healthy person would, eat only when hungry, stop when no longer hungry (this is before you feel full), eat slowly and mindfully.
The hypnosis just makes it a little easier to do, but you still have to consciously make good choices.

So anyway, no doing think you’ve lost your marbles!

It can help. I also found “Brain over Binge” a helpful read. It made me realise that the urge to binge is just neurological junk from my brain based on bad habits and I can safely and easily ignore those urges. It also reminded me that I am in control of my hands and I have the power to choose to stop them shovelling food into my face.

Thanks StringandGlitter
