00alwaysbusymum · 04/04/2018 12:47

I have a big event to go to in 2 weeks or 16 days, how can I lose 1 stone or one dress size ?

I have been excercising and doing 30 day shred and now starting level 3 of this and previously have been doing slimming world but really need to accelerate weight loss

Help any suggestions that have worked ?

Honestly? In a couple of weeks? You won't lose a stone. Unless you want to remove a limb.

I think you could lose 5 - 6 pounds in 16 days but bot a stone unfortunately. Maybe try fasting every other say? (eating 500 calls on fast days).

You could do it on the home made version of a VLCD I wouldn't recommend but 500 calories and a multivitamin.
It's not sustainable but for 2 weeks you could Do it.

800 cals per day.

It does depend on how big you are at the moment I. E. 20 stone, easy, 8 stone, not so much.

Ketosis diet will do it

Yup. Keto. Low carb for two weeks, but keep your calorie intake below 800 as well. Depending on your starting weight you'll either do it or come close.

It can be done.

You might want to stop exercising, but 80% of weight loss is down to food anyway.
Start exercising after you lose it and stay on a sensible eating plan to keep it off.

Have you watched any of How To Lose Weight Well on BBC1? They trial loads of two week crash diets that lose about that in 2 weeks. Worth having a look. Not a good idea to lose at that pace any longer though.

Cambridge diet. But don't stay on it for longer and expect to regain it all and more

Jason Vale juice diet. It used to be called the 1lb a day diet but he had to change the name for legal reasons.

I did it for 7 days and did lose a 1lb a day so it does work but it is expensive as you have to but sooo much fruit and veg. Oh and you need a juicer too.

Don't stop exercising, I've no idea why someone would suggest that. It burns more calories.

I couldn't lose a stone because I only weigh 8 stone but if I need to lose a few kgs in 2 weeks I just eat small portions (weigh and measure everything) for breakfast, lunch and dinner, no snacks, eat raw carrots if desperate. HIIT class every morning and run 6-8kms every evening and eat nothing after 7:30. It's a rough couple of weeks but this way there is no crazy weight gain after, no cutting out food groups leading to mad binges, just stick to about 1200 calories and drink loads of water and black coffee for energy

If you follow a low calorie diet you simply won’t have the energy for exercise and if you did exercise you will work up an appetite and will fall bd the diet even harder.

By all means have a walk, but more that is better saved for when you come off the crash diet.

I did the Jason Vale 7 day juice diet and lost a stone in a week. I felt amazing too. But it went back on really quickly...

Low calories and low carbs.

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs

Lunch: veg sticks and table spoon of humus

Dinner: massive plate or veg or salad and chicken / or steak.

No fruit, potatoes, rice, pasta, bread, chocolate, sweets, coke type drinks, Only the above .. if you need to snack - more veg.

Drink plenty of water.

Thanks I have never crash dieted before. Lost weight the old fashioned hard work exercising / running and eating well.

I was 15 st and now I'm 13 but had got to 11st 7lb so really want to be about 12 I thought 30 day shred would do it but it hasn't although body shape seems better.
