I'm aiming to lose between 1 stone and 1.5 stone in the next 8 weeks. My wedding is at the end May.

Please can you let me have your success stories for calorie counting vs 5:2 vs low carb vs low sugar?

I have a family/busy house so there are meals to prepare for people who aren't trying to lose weight and children etc!!

Which should I go for? Am I asking the impossible?

I do all of those at the same time!

I follow the Blood Sugar Diet for 8-12 week blocks and lose 2.5-3 stone each time.

I also need to lose that amount of weight in 2 months so happy to be on a thread with you if you like. I assume there might be a few people trying to lose that amount of weight pre summer!

I am also cooking for kids who eat a monster amount of food which makes it very very difficult!

I haven't tried to lose weight for a while but I think low carb works but is hard to maintain though 5:2 is more sustainable.

Thanks for the replies!

Absolutely, I believe I will need all the help I can get @DaffoDeffo and happy to offer some in return!

5:2 does seem to be easier to maintain, but will the weight come off in time. I don't look hideous but I will have to stare at those photos for the next 40 years Grin

I want to feel better and more energetic, so that might be the low carb/sugar route!!

Confused

You're right- it will work short term which is perfect for the wedding! You may just be a bit hungry between now and then! Good luck and I really hope the photos turn out how you would like them to be:)
