My Dad told me I should lose weight today

Its true - I'm size 16, obese, have very few nice clothes I can wear and depressed about it (at least 3 stone heavier than 3 years ago). But its made me feel a bit more miserable him saying that to me.

He's probably worried about your health and hasn't been very tactful about it! My mums the same but I know she's coming from a good place!

Yes he means no harm. Its in response to a physical problem I've got at the moment.

Its just depressing to be told something you know only too well yourself.

I get so defensive when my family mention my weight, which they do ALOT.

Being a size 20 I know I need to sort it, but hate people telling me. I know it's only cause they care but I think cause I know what they speak is true it gets my back up big time.
