We are told men like curves, but not too many, then we are fat. Not enough curves, we are too thin. So honestly, what do men really think of skinny women? Are they unattractive? Are they sexy?

Why are you bothered? IMHO men like confident women so be yourself & enjoy.

I don't think you can lump all men together as a single entity! Some men like skinny women, some men like curvy women, some men like women who are obese - and all variants in between.

I think most men like slim women.

Why are you asking on a site that's largely visited by women?!

One can be curvy and skinny just that not everyone is.

I am skinny, I always have been. I have a bum and hips and a small waist but my upper body is verging in scrawny. I personally hate it and have always wished for boobs. I have never felt sexy either.

I strongly suspect it’s a lot to do with wanting what you can’t/don’t have!

I couldn't care less what any man thinks of my body. Carries me up and down mountains. Grew and birthed my child. My entire lived experience is this body

Most men prefer slim women. You can be skinny and curvy, but not in the sense curvy is currently known. It’s actually very unusual to be an overweight hourglass, personally I’ve never seen one.

Attractive and sexy are about attitude rather than shape.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think most men love skinny women, especially as women get older.

I think most men go for slim over fat, but I have been slimmer and curvier and still get male attention at both.It depends on the woman sometimes I think. You can have a woman who's larger but prettier over a slim plain woman.

I’ve never been skinny - always a bit overweight size 10/12 active but stocky - you know the type.

Men prefer skinny women.

I think we live in a world that is focused too much on looks and fakeness/ materialistic things. So personality often gets overlooked and that is why I think, relationships don't last because it's based on lust not love.

Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder - I know men who like "skinny" women, some who only go for "larger women, and most of the men I know fancy a variety of sizes in between! My man prefers not too large but not skinny with curves (for example, Kate Moss wouldn't be for him, think Monica Bellucci!). So not sure you can generalise.

Like women, really! I like thin men but others like big burly men etc.

And personality deffo makes a difference - you can fall for someone who isn't your usual "type"

I don't think men on average prefer skinny women, I think they prefer slim women, fit and toned women. If you look at glamour models, they are never ever skinny, they are slim. If you look at lap dancers or strippers, they are never skinny they are slim, fit and toned.

Skinny and slim are two very different things.

However some men do prefer skinny women, some men prefer overweight women, some men prefer obese women, some men even prefer morbidly obese women. But I'd say the average preference is slim.

No idea - I should imagine there are as many preferences as there are men.

And it's rather limiting if you make opinions on how people look based on a worthiness to the male gaze.

Who cares what men think? Seriously. I think unless you are happy with your body and have confidence in how you look it won't matter what anyone else thinks.
There will be men who like very thin women, men who like average size women and men who like very curvy women.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter if you don't like yourself.

Meh, men will take the piss out of women in whatever way they can find to do so. Thin, fat, ugly, but even if you're absolutely perfect looking they'll find something - that's assuming they're that kind of guy.

What do most men fancy? It's probably an even split across the board I reckon, it's just easier for them to admit to liking whatever's currently in vogue, be that slim or curvy, big boobs, small boobs, legs... Harder for their mates to take the piss out of them that way you see. But what men will admit to fancying is not the same thing as what men actually fancy IMO.

I think men, in general, like women who look like they take care of and value themselves. Things like grooming and dressing to suit your personality and shape are probably more likely to define attractiveness than a few pounds here or there, or lack thereof. That said, as being obese is not healthy nor is being too thin, I think being at either extreme would be a bit of a turn off to most men. Just from experience and what I've heard men say about the women they're attracted to.

Men prefer women who are voluptuous. They like something to squeeze!
